CCI Primers are constantly being evaluated and improved. As a result, CCI primers are more sensitive, easier to seat, and compatible than ever with progressive and automated loading equipment.

They use non-corrosive, non-mercuric initiator mixtures to ensure the cleanest possible burn. These are the “bread and butter” of reloading, the primers that are most frequently specified in reloading recipes.

CCI 500 standard primers burn exceptionally cleanly, resulting in cleaner primer pockets and an extended time between pocket cleaning. That is a significant advantage for progressive reloaders.

They are more sensitive and easier to seat than older CCI primers, and are designed for automated equipment feeding. CCI 500 Primers are available in boxes of 1000 or 5000 pieces.

Some real-world shooting conditions require more aggressive initiation than provided by standard primers.

Large cases, cold weather, and certain propellants often require a hotter primer flame and a longer burn.
