Shooters World Long Rifle Powder Overview

The 6.5 Creedmoor round is optimized for the Long Rifle’s barrel. Long Rifle may be loaded with either light, medium, or heavy rounds, and it will still achieve optimal velocities and a high loading density. Finding a propellant that can “fill the case and seek maximum velocity” is crucial for precision.

In spite of its extruded nature, Long Rifle offers excellent flow characteristics in a volumetric powder dump. The grain is skinny and it’s been trimmed down. It is not required to weigh each powder charge when loading for accuracy with this propellant, but some reloaders insist on doing so.

Due to its clean burn and built-in flash suppressor, the Long Rifle generates nearly no muzzle flash. Developed from the same S065 propellant used in Explosia’s bulk ammunition and Lovex’s canister ammunition, Long Rifle is a canisterized variant of the former.
