The Ruger SR1911 is a traditional-looking pistol created with contemporary manufacturing innovations. Their exceptional slide-to-frame fit and smooth slide motion are the consequence of their precise CNC-controlled machining process. Superior accuracy is possible right out of the box thanks to positive barrel lock-up. The lightweight, aluminum, skeletonized trigger has a titanium firing pin for a quicker lock time, a skeletonized hammer for a very sharp, light trigger pull, and an adjustable over-travel stop. Slide stop lever and expanded thumb safety for better, more effective manipulation. These come with two 7-round stainless steel magazines and are compatible with aftermarket, standard 1911 parts and accessories.
Your Ruger SR1911 pistol has three different hammer positions: AT REST (completely forward), FULLY COCKED (fully backward), and HALF-COCKED. When the face of the hammer is resting on the firing pin, the hammer is in the AT REST (completely forward) position. Never carry or leave the weapon AT REST with a loaded chamber. It should only be transported AT REST on a chamber that is empty. When the hammer is fully retracted to the second click point, it is in the FULLY COCKED (fully backward) position. Pulling the trigger when the hammer is in this position will activate the pistol’s firing mechanism (assuming it is loaded). When carrying a firearm fully cocked, the manual safety should always be engaged.
